At the time of our tale, Don Jeremy and Don Alaric were still cadets, and also happened to be roommates. Alaric was also out of work at the time, which meant he spent a fair amount of time at home watching TV (this was in the Dark Ages, before the internet was developed.)

So anyway… on the fateful day, the movie [http://http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058777/?ref_=sr_1 “Zulu”] was showing. Alaric got rather involved in the movie. Perhaps a little too involved. When Jeremy came home from work that afternoon, Alaric greeted him by leaping over the back of the couch, saber in hand, screaming “Die, you Zulu bastard!”
